Niel Returns to the Stage in Emotional Musical ‘Time Between Dog and Cat’

Niel, an acclaimed K-pop star and musical theater performer, made his highly anticipated return to the stage on May 22nd at 8 PM with the first show of the musical Time Between Dog and Cat. The production will run until August 10th at Daehangno The Good Theater, a key cultural venue in Seoul.

Time Between Dog and Cat tells the heartwarming story of Raptor, a black dog, and Pluto, a black cat — two animals whose only similarity is their fur color. As the mismatched duo attempts to solve a mysterious incident together, they begin to understand each other’s view of the world and humans, ultimately discovering empathy and connection.

Niel takes on the role of Pluto, the inquisitive black cat raised on the streets, who harbors a natural aversion to human contact despite his curiosity. The character demands both emotional depth and strong stage presence — which Niel delivers following a four-year break from the stage since his last performance in 2021.
