Kpop solo artist Surin teases Boys Can Be debut MV with retro teen style visuals

Rising K-pop soloist Surin is stepping into the spotlight with refreshing high-teen flair. On June 20 at 8 PM KST, Surin unveiled the music video teaser for her debut single ‘Boys Can Be’ via her official social media channels, signaling the beginning of her anticipated debut journey.

The teaser captures Surin in a classic high-teen school look: a frilly blouse, vivid striped knit vest, and a gray skirt. The visual narrative opens with a pixelated ‘Loading.’ message on a vintage TV screen, followed by quirky doodles and retro digital effects that create a nostalgic yet trendy Gen Z vibe. From cassette radios to camcorder-style shots, the aesthetics blend analog charm with modern pop authenticity.

Surin’s charisma shines as she frolics in nature wearing a headscarf, emitting spring warmth and youthful appeal. The teaser also previews a snippet of the chorus and playful choreography with upbeat expressions, fueling anticipation for her debut.

The debut single ‘Boys Can Be’ comprises the title track and B-side song ‘Yes, I’m a Hot Mess Girl!’, delivering a unique blend of pop rock and pop punk. Surin emerges as a definitive 5th-generation solo artist with a diverse sonic identity.

Fans first got a glimpse of her performance at the ‘2025 Otherworld Festival’, held on June 17 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. Her pre-release stage performances of both songs highlighted hooky melodies and tight choreography, capturing attention across the K-pop scene.

Surin’s debut single will officially drop on June 22 at noon across various music platforms, heralding what could be a standout solo career.
