Forestella’s Urim Go Returns from Military, Expresses Gratitude and Ready for a New Chapter
Urim Go, a cherished member of the Korean crossover group Forestella, has officially completed his military service and shared a heartfelt message with fans through his personal social media on June 21.
“Discharged! I am back as a civilian. Thank you to everyone who supported me. I completed my service safely and returned healthy, thanks to your encouragement,” Go wrote, accompanying several photos with fellow soldiers. The images capture his final moments in uniform, smiling with comrades who stood by him during his military chapter.
Go reflected deeply on the 18-month experience. “There were challenges, certainly, but I also discovered invaluable lessons and personal growth during this period,” he stated. “The moments that felt stifling and difficult were also the ones that helped me mature.”
He didn’t forget to acknowledge his fellow soldiers: “I met many precious people. As someone used to being the youngest in many situations, I learned what it means to be a big brother. I took responsibility, gave advice, and experienced a whole new perspective.”
Of course, his teammates weren’t left out. Go expressed deep appreciation to his Forestella members, who maintained the group’s momentum during his absence. “Heartfelt thanks to my brothers who kept Forestella strong during this time. We’re finally all done with military service!”
Ready to resume his musical career, Go promised, “Now, I return to my original position and prepare for a new beginning. You’ll see a more profound and matured version of me.”
Urim Go married Olympic figure skating champion Yuna Kim in October 2022. As he steps back into the spotlight, fans eagerly anticipate what Forestella and Go have planned next.
Welcome back, Urim Go.
