Can Fitness Heal a Broken Heart? Eunji Jung Faces Her Turning Point in KBS 2TV’s ’24-Hour Fitness Center’
In episode 7 of KBS 2TV’s Wednesday–Thursday drama ’24-Hour Fitness Center, airing at 9:50 p.m. on June 21, viewers will witness a pivotal shift in the emotional journey between gym director Do Hyun Jung (played by Jun Young Lee) and gym member Mi Ran Lee (played by Eunji Jung). After recent heartbreak, Mi Ran finds a unique path to healing through exercise — or so she thought.
Still recovering from her breakup, Mi Ran persuades her recently dumped sister Ji Ran Lee (played by Da Eun Lee) to join the fitness center, promoting the healing power of workouts. However, Mi Ran’s own emotional scars resurface when she mistakenly identifies another man as her ex-boyfriend Jun Suk Yeom (played by Wook Jin Jung), triggering a moment of vulnerability.
The newly released stills from episode 7 preview an intimate day out between Hyun Jung and Mi Ran, outside the familiar gym environment. Hyun Jung, always sincere and driven, sees Mi Ran’s emotional withdrawal as a workout slump — humorously coined ‘운태기,’ a mix of ‘workout’ and ‘boredom.’ Determined to uplift her spirits, he asks Mi Ran to let him help her overcome it.
Refusing to let her quit, Hyun Jung blocks Mi Ran from clearing out her locker and whisks her away on a surprise hiking date. Through outdoor activities and supportive companionship, he makes a heartfelt attempt to reignite Mi Ran’s lost motivation.
The chemistry builds as Hyun Jung’s bubbly charm and refusal to give up contrast with Mi Ran’s visible struggle. The scenes hint at a “fitness rehabilitation project” that could bring them closer together — both physically and emotionally.
As Mi Ran teeters between retreat and recovery, the pressure mounts: Will she quit fitness altogether, or will Hyun Jung’s determination steer her back on track?
