Rising K-Rock Band QWER Announces Comeback with Third EP This June

Korean girl band QWER returns in June with mini album full of emotional rock sounds

Breakout Korean girl band QWER (Chodan, Magenta, Hina, Siyeon) is set to make their highly anticipated comeback on June 9 with the release of their third mini-album, titled ‘난 네 편이야, 온 세상이 불협일지라도’. Though the album title does not have an official English version yet, it translates roughly to ‘I’m on Your Side, Even if the World is Out of Tune.’

This marks QWER’s return to the K-pop scene nearly nine months after their successful second mini-album, Algorithm’s Blossom, which solidified their place in the indie rock-pop crossover space. Known for their vibrant sound and emotionally honest storytelling, QWER’s upcoming EP explores themes of enduring friendship and loyalty.

To tease their comeback, the band shared an official poster via social media featuring a rain-soaked diary in the color representing member Siyeon. The imagery hints at a more introspective and mature narrative, generating buzz among fans eager to see QWER’s continued growth.

Since their debut, QWER has delivered a series of successful tracks including ‘Discord’, ‘T.B.H’ (originally 고민중독), and ‘My Name is Malguem’ (내 이름 맑음), each making a significant impact on Korean music charts. Their track T.B.H was recently crowned the No.1 Song of 2024 by YouTube Korea, showcasing the group’s growing influence in the music industry.

In a music scene dominated by idol groups, QWER’s light-hearted rock sound and unique all-female lineup distinguish them as fresh voices in K-pop. Their infectious energy and genuine connections have resonated globally, cementing their status as Korea’s ‘Favorite Girl Band.’

Fans can stream the new album across various music platforms on June 9 at 6 PM KST. With each project, QWER continues to break new ground and this comeback is expected to be another step toward solidifying their legacy in modern Korean music.
