Onew of SHINee Promises Deeper Connections with Fans Through His Solo Concert Series

K-pop star and SHINee member Onew is reaching new heights in his solo career, promising fans even more stages, stories, and unforgettable memories. On June 16, Onew released a behind-the-scenes video titled 2025 Onew Concert [Onew the Live: Connection] via his official YouTube channel, offering an intimate glimpse into his recent solo shows.

The 49-minute and 25-second video highlights the energy and emotion of Onew’s solo concert, held over three days at Olympic Park Olympic Hall in Seoul this past February. It also showcases the depth of the connection between Onew and his fans, known affectionately as ‘Jjinggu.’

Launching his new solo concert brand, Onew the Live, the SHINee vocalist took off on a global journey. Starting in Seoul and continuing through Yokohama, Taipei, Macau, and eight cities across North America, Onew has captivated audiences with heartfelt performances and deeply personal storytelling.

The subtitle of the first tour stop, Connection—also the title of his mini 4th album—underscored the concert’s core theme. “I wanted to show how I give and receive happiness from my fans and how I express it,” Onew shared. “Like the meaning of the word, I hoped we could connect heart-to-heart.”

Each location featured a slightly modified setlist, offering fans a unique experience infused with Onew’s signature musical style. Apart from his roles on stage, Onew also took part in stage direction, including LED visuals and line art production, showing his dedication as a true producer.

“Onew the Live may bear my name, but I’m not the only star,” he emphasized. “It’s a concert made complete by the fans who fill the venue and the countless staff who bring it to life. I feel responsible for delivering every story I want to share through this performance, and I believe we achieved a beautiful harmony.”

Pointing out that the audience is the most crucial element in live performances, Onew remarked, “The energy I gain from fans singing in unison is incredible. It’s amazing how so many voices can come together as one. I look forward to performing in even more places and meeting more Jjinggus. Let’s keep making memories together.”

Fans can also look forward to more music from the beloved artist as he is set to release his second full-length album this July.
