KiiiKiii’s Kiya to Throw Her First Pitch at Gocheok Sky Dome
Rising K-pop rookie Kiya of girl group KiiiKiii is taking her talents from the stage to the field. Starship Entertainment confirmed on June 16 that Kiya will make her ceremonial pitch debut on June 25 at the Gocheok Sky Dome during the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League game between the Kiwoom Heroes and KT Wiz.
Marking her first appearance at a professional baseball event, Kiya aims to bring her vibrant energy and cheering spirit to the game in support of the Kiwoom Heroes. Known for her captivating vocals and commanding presence during live performances, she is expected to wow the crowd not just with her pitch but with her bright aura that mirrors her on-stage charisma.
“I’m so honored and excited to try something I’ve always dreamed of—throwing the first pitch,” said Kiya through her label. “Huge thanks to the Kiwoom Heroes for this amazing opportunity. I’ll give it my best shot to spread positive energy to the players and fans. Let’s go, Kiwoom! Let’s go, Kiya!”
Born in 2010, Kiya is the youngest member of KiiiKiii and quickly earned a reputation as a multi-talented performer. Her impactful delivery of just a single line from the group’s debut song ‘I DO ME’ left a lasting impression, earning her the nickname “The Opening Line Girl.”
KiiiKiii recently celebrated their first win on a terrestrial music show with Show! Music Core, topping the charts with ‘I DO ME’. The group’s debut album UNCUT GEM concluded its successful promotion, and they continue to captivate audiences through various performances and festival appearances around the country.
