Joo Hyun-young Joins Netflix’s ‘Joo-gwan Restaurant’ as Full-Time Cast
South Korean actress Joo Hyun-young has officially joined Netflix’s unique culinary talk show, Joo-gwan Restaurant, as a full-time cast member. Previously appearing as the 11th guest, she now takes on dual roles as kitchen assistant and floor manager.
Joo-gwan Restaurant, a daily Netflix variety show, blends cooking and conversation hosted by celebrity chef Choi Kang-rok and YouTuber Moon Sang-hoon of Ppadeoneoseu. The show invites celebrity guests and serves up their favorite dishes while stimulating lively dialogue.
From the very first episode, Joo Hyun-young showcased her versatility by chopping ingredients, serving guests, and even designing welcome notes—all while transitioning smoothly between front and back of house. Her quick wit and charming personality brought a playful, heartwarming energy to the show’s atmosphere.
Her hosting potential also stood out in a chat with comedian Jang Do-yeon, the first guest of the new season. Engaging reactions and smart questions solidified her as a future MC to watch, seamlessly continuing her popular “Jubi Vibe” persona from past projects.
Catch Joo-gwan Restaurant every Saturday at 5 p.m. KST on Netflix to see Joo Hyun-young dish out laughter, warmth, and unforgettable TV moments.
