Korean TV Personality Seoyuri Reveals Twitter Account Was Hacked Amid Ongoing Personal Struggles
South Korean broadcast personality Seoyuri has revealed that her personal Twitter account was hacked and deleted, despite having amassed over 300,000 followers. The media personality shared the unfortunate news on her social platform, stating, “Ugh. My Twitter is gone. Hacked and disappeared. 300K followers. Just like that. I think I’ll switch telecom providers.”
This setback follows a series of personal and financial difficulties for the TV personality. Seoyuri had previously gone public with details of her struggles, particularly highlighting the bankruptcy application filed by her ex-husband, Producer Choi Byung-gil. In response to her financial situation, Seoyuri has actively been working as a Broadcast Jockey (BJ), a form of live-streaming celebrity popular in South Korea.
Seoyuri married Choi Byung-gil in 2019 but announced their separation in March 2023. The couple finalized their divorce in June that same year. In an earlier social media post, Seoyuri shared that she has successfully repaid a loan exceeding 1.1 billion KRW (approximately $850,000), writing, “Another one down. Bit by bit. I won’t let others suffer because of me.”
Despite these challenges, Seoyuri continues to maintain transparency with her audience, gaining public empathy and support along the way. Her resilience in navigating public and private struggles has made her a symbol of strength among fans and followers.
