NewJeans’ Haerin Sends Heartfelt Birthday Message to Fans Amid Legal Turmoil

NewJeans (NJZ) member Haerin has shared a deeply emotional message with the group’s fanbase, Bunnies, expressing her heartfelt gratitude on her 19th birthday. In a surprise post made on May 15 through NewJeans’ newly launched official social media account, Haerin revealed her overwhelming feelings towards the birthday letters and events organized by fans.

“The letters from Bunnies were seriously incredible… I was so surprised!” she wrote. “It might sound raw, but I had no choice but to express my shock, emotion, affection, and gratitude in this way.”

Haerin continued: “Just like some Bunnies might feel, sometimes you’re just overwhelmed by a gigantic and vague emotion that you can’t quite describe. That’s exactly how I felt now, which is why I chose to speak my heart without filters. Thank you so much.”

She went on to express her appreciation for the Bunnies who celebrated someone else’s birthday so sincerely, saying, “In these tough times, I’m even more thankful for your continued, silent support. It’s been a series of surprises.”

Meanwhile, NewJeans is currently navigating a tense legal conflict with their agency, ADOR. All five members of the group sought to terminate their exclusive contracts last year, leading to a prolonged courtroom battle.

On March 21, a court upheld ADOR’s request to maintain its agency status and prevent the members from signing advertising deals independently. Although NewJeans filed an appeal the same day, it was dismissed on April 16, further complicating the group’s future.

Despite these legal complications, Haerin’s message confirms the bond between NewJeans and their fans remains strong.
