K-pop Super Rookie KickFlip Unveils High Teen-Inspired Comeback with ‘Kick Out, Flip Now!’
K-pop’s newest powerhouse is ready to leave their mark. KickFlip, the rising boy group under JYP Entertainment, is turning heads with their upcoming comeback concept visuals for their second mini album “Kick Out, Flip Now!”—a playful, school-themed shoot reminiscent of early 2000s teen dramas.
Set to drop on May 26 at 6 PM KST, the album includes seven dynamic tracks led by the title song “FREEZE”. The photos released via JYP’s official social media channels highlight the group’s vibrant energy, capturing casual yet charismatic moments post-school activities in a gymnasium. From spontaneous laughter to synchronized sprints, KickFlip channels the coming-of-age spirit in their visual storytelling.
Teaser photos released at midnight on May 15 featured the group’s seven members—Gyehun, Amaru, Donghwa, Juwang, Minjae, Keiju, and Donghyun—in striking group and unit shots that amplify their youthful charm. The styling and composition are already gaining traction for evoking nostalgia and modern flair alike.
This comeback marks KickFlip’s first return since their debut, and the group is taking a hands-on approach, participating in crafting the album’s identity. The tracklist includes: “FREEZE,” “Let’s Push It,” “Someday the Sun Will Explode,” “Electricity,” “Complicated!!,” “Code Red,” and “How We KickFlip.”
Amplifying the hype, the group is set to make their debut on the global stage with confirmed slots at two of the world’s biggest music festivals. They will join the lineup of Lollapalooza Chicago (July 31–August 3) at Grant Park and Summer Sonic Bangkok 2025 (August 23–24), held at Impact Challenger Hall. With these high-profile stages, KickFlip is poised to solidify their reputation as the next big K-pop super rookie group.
Fans can also look forward to a special comeback showcase scheduled just two hours after the album’s release, set for May 26 at 8 PM KST. With this whirlwind of activity, KickFlip is undoubtedly flipping the script and kicking off a new era in K-pop.
