BTS Jin Reunites with Handsome Guys Cast for a Culinary Tour in Hannam-dong
BTS member Jin made a highly anticipated return to tvN’s hit reality food series Handsome Guys, joining the cast on a local culinary adventure through Seoul’s fashionable Hannam-dong.
In the June 15th episode airing at 8:40 PM, Jin teams up with the regular crew — Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Dong-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, Shin Sung-ho, and Oh Sang-wook — for a delicious mission to uncover top lunch and dinner spots. Known for its comic spin on food recommendations, Handsome Guys (directed by Ryu Ho-jin and Yun In-hoe) lets the cast explore must-try restaurants with universal appeal.
Jin, who has been with Handsome Guys since its premiere, expressed his fondness for the cast saying, “Watching the members feels like being with my own team.” Adding an extra spark to this brotherhood, Jin singled out fellow BTS members he believes would be the perfect fit for the show’s food-driven concept. “Jung Kook really fits the program — he eats so well,” Jin remarked, catching the attention of food-loving castmates Shin Sung-ho and Oh Sang-wook. He also added that V would blend smoothly with the group’s dynamic energy.
Taking the suggestion seriously, Oh Sang-wook offered to personally recruit Jung Kook and V. Although slightly younger than the BTS stars, he jokingly said, “If they’re younger than me, they have to follow my lead.” Jin playfully warned, “Even I don’t casually talk down to Jung Kook,” prompting Oh to swiftly change his tone. “Maybe I should record a video letter — we can even travel abroad if needed,” he quipped, bowing his head in exaggerated politeness and drawing laughter from the group.
The episode took a heartwarming turn when Lee Yi-kyung surprise-called his father for a mini popularity contest between Jin, Cha Tae-hyun, and Oh Sang-wook — putting star power to the test. One unexpected comment from his dad left Jin visibly ‘crestfallen’, giving rise to the now-viral inside joke: ‘Sad Jin’.
