Jimin of BTS Makes History at 2025 BMI Pop Awards with Dual Wins
BTS’ Jimin has set a new milestone for K-pop soloists, earning two accolades at the 2025 BMI Pop Awards, organized by Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) in Beverly Wilshire, Los Angeles.
At the prestigious ceremony, Jimin was honored with awards for the Most-Performed Songs of the Year for not just one, but two of his singles—“Like Crazy” from his debut album FACE and “Who” from his follow-up project MUSE. This remarkable feat makes him the first K-pop solo artist to have two tracks independently recognized in this category, without the support of any featured artists or collaborations.
Adding to the significance, Jimin’s two winning tracks were the only Korean songs among the 28 recognized by Universal Music Publishing Group, the recipient of the Publisher of the Year award. His inclusion not only exemplifies his wide appeal but also highlights the growing influence of Korean music on mainstream American charts.
“Like Crazy” continues to break boundaries, being the only Korean-language song among this year’s winners. Notably, it previously received recognition at the 2024 BMI London Awards, making this a two-year streak for the hit single’s performance success.
Currently serving in the military, Jimin’s powerful artistic impact remains undiminished. Despite his ongoing enlistment, he was named winner of K-Pop Song of the Year at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards and previously clinched the historic Fans’ Choice of the Year at the 2024 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), becoming the first solo artist to secure that top honor.
With his discharge set for June 11, fans and industry insiders alike are highly anticipating the next chapter in Jimin’s flourishing solo career.
