K-Indie Star 10cm Tops Charts and Sets Sights on Global Collaborations
Korean indie sensation 10cm is making waves once again, topping major music charts and expanding his global influence through exciting collaborations.
Released in March, the single 너에게 닿기를 has reached No.1 on both the TOP100 and HOT100 charts on Melon as of June 13. Even after 100 days since its release, the song continues to dominate the charts, demonstrating its widespread appeal and staying power.
The song gained viral momentum thanks to participation from multiple artists in dance challenges, including Yoon Do-hyun, SEVENTEEN‘s DK, Davichi‘s Haeri, IVE‘s Ray, BOYNEXTDOOR‘s TaeSan, Jung Se-woon, and KISS OF LIFE‘s Haneul. Particularly, a duet version by media personality Joo Woo-jae garnered massive attention, leading to a joint performance with 10cm on MBC‘s Show! Music Core.
Their stage left a strong impression with refreshing visuals and perfect vocal harmony, earning enthusiastic reactions on social media platforms and online communities. Fans commented, “Didn’t expect to see this duo on Music Core,” “This feels straight out of a Japanese anime,” and “Like a romantic manga I can’t get enough of.” The performance video also ranked as one of YouTube’s trending contents.
너에게 닿기를 first gained popularity during the airing of a hit anime, and demand for the official release has built up since then. Since its official release, the song has maintained a remarkable chart presence, proving its continued resonance with listeners.
On the global front, 10cm recently released a collaboration single titled Silver on June 8 with Filipino singer-songwriter TJ Monterde, along with a heartwarming music video featuring everyday life with pets. A second project single is also slated for release on June 14, raising anticipation for future global collaborations.
Expanding his presence in the live performance scene, 10cm will kick off a small theater concert series titled 4.99999999 in June, followed by the release of his fifth studio album in July. In August, he will hold a large-scale solo concert named 5.0 at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium.
