Global K-pop sensation (G)I-DLE is making waves ahead of their official comeback. The group — consisting of Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua — is proving their international popularity with the music video for their track ‘Girlfriend’, from their highly anticipated upcoming mini album ‘We are’.

As of the 12th, ‘Girlfriend’ claimed the number one spot on both China’s QQ Music comprehensive MV chart and its Korean chart, signaling massive popularity in key Asian markets. The music video also soared to #1 on YouTube Korea’s daily trending music video chart and ranked #9 globally, reaffirming the group’s powerful global fanbase.

Since its release on April 9, the ‘Girlfriend’ MV has drawn widespread international attention. It ranked #2 on YouTube’s “Most Viewed Videos in the Past 24 Hours” and achieved the #3 spot on the platform’s global trending music videos chart.
