K-pop Rookie Group POW Announces Comeback with 3rd EP This June

Kpop boy band POW returns with a new concept album set for release on June 27

Emerging K-pop group POW is set to make a dynamic comeback with the release of their third EP on June 27, as officially announced by their agency GRID Entertainment.

On June 13, GRID Entertainment stoked fan excitement by surprise-dropping a teaser poster via social media. The poster features a vivid contrast of orange and yellow tones set against lush greenery, showcasing explosive visuals that hint at the group’s vibrant, feel-good musical direction. The visual theme plays with the idea of POW’s sound literally popping with energy, offering a playful peek into their upcoming concept.

The forthcoming EP marks a new stride for the boy band comprised of members Yorch, Hyunbin, Jungbin, Dongyeon, and Hong. Leader Yorch took charge of much of the album’s production, ensuring that the release carries POW’s signature style and identity. The album channels high-energy, upbeat melodies woven into a concept dubbed ‘POWTINE + European Youth Culture’, which fans can expect to resonate through both sound and visuals.

Despite a brief hiatus from releasing new albums, POW remained active and engaged with their fanbase, nicknamed Power. Earlier this year, they dropped the special single ‘Gimme Love’ and a self-produced web-drama titled ‘Always On That Place’. These projects kept the group’s momentum alive, showcasing their versatility and ability to create content across various platforms.

POW has also been praised for their smart promotional strategy, which emphasizes entertaining, variety-style content during downtime. This approach has solidified their connection with fans and expanded their reach within the global K-pop scene.

According to a representative from GRID Entertainment, “This new EP is meant to recharge fans with positive vibes, just like the fandom’s name ‘Power’ signifies. Expect a more mature sound and elevated stage presence.”

As the countdown begins, all eyes are on POW as they prepare to lift the curtain on the next chapter of their evolving musical journey. The EP drops June 27.
