Jihae Kimm Brings a Touch of Emotion with ‘Paints’ in Genie TV’s ‘Taste of Love’

OST Paints by Jihae Kimm adds emotional depth to Genie TV drama Taste of Love

Genie TV’s original romantic drama Taste of Love, starring Kang Ha-neul and Go Min-si, has taken its first major step in building emotional depth by releasing its initial OST titled “Paints”. The track, released at noon on the 13th across major streaming platforms, features the ethereal vocal stylings of singer-songwriter Jihae Kimm.

“Paints” captures the emotional spectrum of joy, sadness, and love, expressing them through various hues — a poetic metaphor for the diverse characters and their feelings. Jihae Kimm, who handled the songwriting, composition, and vocals, offers a dreamy and uniquely delicate tone that elevates the song’s atmosphere and connects directly to the drama’s romantic core.

This marks Jihae Kimm’s second collaboration with music director Park Sung-joon, previously known for their work on the film Love in the Big City. Together, they aim to reinforce the drama’s cinematic sensibility, enriching key scenes with a lush, emotionally driven soundtrack.

Taste of Love centers on the high-stakes romantic tension between Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul), a chaebol heir who takes over small eateries to inherit a large food company, and chef Mo Yeon-joo (played by Go Min-si), who runs a nameless single-table restaurant in Jeonju. This unusual kitchen romance unfolds as a fierce culinary battle that blurs the line between business and affection. Supporting roles are played by Kim Shin-rok and Yoo Su-bin.

The drama airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM on ENA and is available for streaming immediately after broadcast on KT Genie TV and Genie TV Mobile.
