BABYMONSTER Heats Up Their First World Tour with Live BLACKPINK Covers
Rising K-pop sensation BABYMONSTER is turning up the excitement for their first world tour with an electrifying new addition to their setlist—live covers of BLACKPINK’s iconic hits. YG Entertainment announced on June 12 that the girl group will perform BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” and “As If It’s Your Last” starting from their show in Singapore on June 17, as part of the 2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR IN SINGAPORE.
Previously known for their performances of 2NE1’s legendary tracks “Clap Your Hands” and “Go Away,” the group is now trading these for fresh BLACKPINK covers. According to YG, this surprise update was designed to give fans an unforgettable concert experience, especially those who have been following the Asia leg of the tour. BABYMONSTER’s 2NE1 covers had already gone viral online, and this move is expected to take their tour energy to the next level.
What makes this moment so special is that it will be the first time BABYMONSTER performs BLACKPINK’s songs live on stage. Anticipation among fans is already sky-high. With their growing popularity and proven vocal and performance skills, BABYMONSTER is rapidly establishing itself as the next big name in YG’s girl group legacy, following in the footsteps of 2NE1 and BLACKPINK.
Speaking ahead of their Singapore concert, BABYMONSTER shared, “It’s an honor and a dream come true to perform our role model BLACKPINK’s songs live. We’re both nervous and thrilled, and we promise to give our best performance to show our utmost respect and appreciation.”
The world tour marks an incredible achievement for BABYMONSTER, who only debuted a year ago. They’ve already conquered large-scale venues in North America like Newark and Los Angeles, and attracted an astonishing 150,000 fans in Japan—a record-breaking feat for a K-pop girl group in such a short amount of time.
As they continue their stellar tour, BABYMONSTER will also visit major cities across Asia including Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei. Later this year, they’re scheduled to embark on a second North American tour hitting cities like Toronto, Rosemont, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Oakland, and Seattle. Stay tuned—BABYMONSTER is only just getting started.
