Ma Dong-seok Tops Korea’s May 2025 Actor Brand Rankings
South Korean powerhouse actor Ma Dong-seok has secured the top spot in the latest movie star brand reputation rankings for May 2025, according to findings by the The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute.
Following Ma are Son Suk-ku in second place and Lee Byung-hun in third. The rankings are based on big data collected from Korean consumers between April 13 and May 13, 2025, and the analysis included over 151 million data points relating to 100 beloved movie actors in South Korea.
Director Koo Chang-hwan of the research institute stated, “Ma Dong-seok ranked first in our May analysis of movie actor brand reputation. Compared to April, the overall volume of brand-related big data increased by 6.10%.”
In terms of link analysis, the most associated actions with Ma Dong-seok’s brand were ‘release,’ ‘produce,’ and ‘challenge.’ His trending keywords included recent film titles like ‘Holy Night’, ‘I Am a Boxer’, and ‘Occult Action’. Furthermore, his positive sentiment rate was recorded at an impressive 84.28%, showcasing his wide popularity and favorable public image.
The top 30 actors in the May 2025 brand rankings also feature notable names such as Kim Tae-ri, Kang Ha-neul, Ha Jung-woo, Go Youn-jung, Yu Hae-jin, Lee Jung-jae, Jung Hae-in, Park Hae-joon, Lee Soo-kyung, Han Ji-min, Kim Hye-soo, Park Hae-soo, Gong Yoo, Lee Joon-hyuk, Moon So-ri, Park Bo-young, Im Si-wan, Lee Dong-wook, Go Soo, Ko Min-si, Lee Je-hoon, Lee Hee-joon, Lee Kwang-soo, Kang Dong-won, Lee Jong-suk, Song Joong-ki, and Lee Young-ae.
