Y2K Reunites After 23 Years with Electrifying Performance on Korea-Japan Top Ten Show
The legendary Korean-Japanese hybrid band Y2K made a nostalgic comeback after 23 years on Maeil Broadcasting Network (MBN)’s popular music variety program, Korea-Japan Top Ten Show. In a special episode titled “Reply 1999,” the trio delivered a powerful live rendition of their 1999 hit song After Breaking Up, instantly igniting a wave of nostalgia among fans.
This emotionally charged episode celebrated iconic tracks from the pre-millennium era, reinterpreting them for both longtime fans and new listeners. Airing as the show’s 49th episode, it was broadcast on the night of the 13th at 9:50 PM KST.
The musical journey didn’t end with Y2K. In the same show, season two of Current King of Singing heated up as reigning champion Park Seo-jin engaged in a fierce battle of ballads with vocalist Lyn. Park chose the emotionally raw song Emergency Room by the band izi, capturing attention with his heartfelt performance.
