RIIZE Unveils Cinematic Teasers for Debut Album ‘ODYSSEY’ Ahead of Release
K-pop’s rising sensation RIIZE, signed under SM Entertainment, is making waves ahead of the release of their highly anticipated debut full-length album, ODYSSEY. On May 10 at midnight KST, a series of surreal teaser images were unveiled via the group’s RIIZE Odyssey Instagram and official SNS channels, sparking excitement among fans and industry watchers around the globe.
These visually striking teasers depict the members transcending the Earth into outer space, reminiscent of an avant-garde sci-fi fantasy film. The images serve not only as a powerful showcase of the group’s conceptual prowess but also reflect a cinematic narrative of growth and ambition—an evolution that aligns with the group’s earlier real-time universe project, RIIZE Odyssey.
The teasers illustrate the group’s continuing journey toward becoming ‘ONE TOP’ in 2025, capturing their development through a cosmic lens. These narrative-driven visuals seamlessly bridge time and space, positioning RIIZE as the protagonists of an expansive storyline that moves from Earth-bound roots to interstellar aspirations.
Two distinct versions of the teaser were released under the titles EARTH Archive and UNIVERSE Archive. Both were filmed in a cutting-edge virtual production studio spanning approximately 500 pyeong (roughly 17,600 sq ft). Using In-Camera VFX (ICVFX) technology, which integrates real-time rendered virtual backgrounds with camera tracking, the production brings an unprecedented level of realism and grandeur to the world of K-pop visuals.
Set to drop on May 19, ODYSSEY will contain 10 tracks, including the dynamic title track Fly Up and previously teased songs Bag Bad Back and Ember to Solar, both of which have dominated the upper ranks of Korea’s YouTube trending videos chart following their early visual reveal.
