BIBI Redefines Love in Highly-Anticipated Double Title Album ‘EVE: ROMANCE’
Korean singer-songwriter BIBI is set to release her second full-length album ‘EVE: ROMANCE’ on June 12, captivating fans and critics alike with its double title tracks, ‘The Apple Tree of the End’ and ‘Bookstore Oppa Literary Girl’. The two lead singles dive into the duality of love, contrasting beginnings and endings, fantasy and reality, warmth and emptiness.
‘The Apple Tree of the End’ provokes reflection on existence before love. Opening with the line, “Before love existed, what made us?”, the track explores emotional depth with minimalistic vocals and restrained instrumentation, conveying unsaid feelings more powerfully through silence and space.
In contrast, ‘Bookstore Oppa Literary Girl’ takes a whimsical, character-driven approach. The clever lyricism and sharp observational storytelling highlight BIBI’s signature charm, showcasing the many faces of complicated romance with a playful twist.
The 14-track album includes previously released singles and introduces six brand-new songs. Ahead of the full release, specially produced trailers for the unreleased tracks will gradually be unveiled, amping up the anticipation.
BIBI’s hands-on involvement in the songwriting, composition, and production of all tracks reinforces her status as an all-around artist. The album’s narrative structure centers on two personas, ‘EVE’ and ‘EVE-1’, each offering distinct emotional perspectives. Through this lens, the album redefines what it means to see oneself through the eyes of love—both from within and from another.
With her previous viral hit ‘Night Jelly’, BIBI proved her unique storytelling capacity. ‘EVE: ROMANCE’ promises to elevate her artistic universe further, delivering a multidimensional love story that is deeply personal and refreshingly original. Mark your calendars—BIBI’s ‘EVE: ROMANCE’ begins its spellbinding narration this June 12.
