Jenny, a core member of global K-pop sensation BLACKPINK, recently opened up about her Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival experience, describing it as "a gift to my 15-year-old self." Appearing on the South Korean talk show You Quiz on the Block, Jenny shared personal reflections about her emotional journey and how the performance helped her come full circle.

“It was the best gift I could give myself,” she said during the broadcast aired on the 7th. “It was a way of saying ‘well done’ to the younger me who took her first step without fully knowing what lay ahead.”

When asked what she’d say to her past self, Jenny admitted, “You must’ve felt shaken, exhausted, and lonely. But time never betrays. Never forget that, and keep living.”

MC Yoo Jae-suk asked Jenny if she felt both relieved and pressured after preparing successfully for such a massive stage. “I used to live trapped in the mindset that I always have to do well,” Jenny replied. “But through this new album and Coachella stage, I learned that the best performance comes from truly enjoying the moment.”

She added, “I really enjoyed myself on stage. I felt happy. Nowadays, I think a lot about what I want to do next and feel constantly inspired for the future.”

Jenny revealed that she spent 16 months preparing for the Coachella stage, undergoing intense endurance training by running while singing to a set playlist that featured all 13 tracks she planned to perform—nonstop for 50 minutes.

The payoff was immense. On April 13 and 20 (local time), Jenny took to the Coachella stage as a solo artist, energizing thousands of fans during America’s biggest music festival. Her performance generated widespread acclaim and ignited numerous conversations online.

Looking ahead, BLACKPINK is scheduled to launch their new world tour starting July 5–6 at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. Major stops include Wembley Stadium in London, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and the iconic Tokyo Dome in Japan.
