K-Pop Duo KyungSeoYeJi Delays Release of ‘Moonlight Drawn by Clouds’ Remake for Perfection

KyungSeoYeJi postpones Kpop remake Moonlight Drawn by Clouds to June enhancing final production

Rising K-pop vocal duo KyungSeoYeJi, known for emotional ballads and remake hits, has officially postponed the release of their upcoming single, a remake of the 2011 hit ‘Moonlight Drawn by Clouds’ originally by the group Secret.

According to their management on May 7, the track’s release—initially scheduled for May 8—has been pushed to sometime in June to ensure a more refined, high-quality production. “KyungSeoYeJi is aiming to deliver a more complete musical experience with this remake,” the label said, adding that a specific date will be announced later.

This single continues KyungSeoYeJi’s series of emotionally rich remakes. Known for their nuanced vocal delivery, the duo reinterprets ‘Moonlight Drawn by Clouds’ through their own artistic lens. The track captures the excitement and yearning of young love, reframed with modern sensibility and heartfelt performance.

Debuting in 2020, KyungSeoYeJi—comprising soloists KyungSeo and Yeji—have already made an impact with hits like ‘When You Call My Name Softly’ (with Jeon Gunho), ‘Actually, I’, ‘Why Did You Change’, and ‘I Have Something Important to Tell You’. Their ability to channel deep emotional resonance has cemented their status as rising ballad queens in Korea.

In addition to original songs, the pair has gained popularity through remakes of iconic tracks such as ‘Day by Day’, ‘Would You Like a Drink?’, and ‘Flying Girl’. Their unique reinterpretations preserve the soul of the originals while infusing them with their vocal color.

KyungSeoYeJi started 2024 strong with the release of ‘Why Is Love So Hard for Me?’ featuring Jeon Gunho, followed by a small theater concert titled ‘The Sweet Colors’ in March, showcasing their versatility and live presence.

Fans can look forward to the official release of ‘Moonlight Drawn by Clouds’ across major online music platforms this June as KyungSeoYeJi continues to solidify their place in Korea’s vocal-driven pop scene.
