Heart Signal 3 Star Seo Min-jae Announces Pregnancy Amid Controversy

Heart Signal 3 star Seo Min Jae reveals pregnancy with Seoul National University student

Seo Min-jae, known for her appearance on Heart Signal 3, recently announced her pregnancy on social media, but what began as a heartfelt update quickly turned into a whirlwind of online debate and concern from the public.

On July 2, Seo shared several selfies and an ultrasound image on Instagram along with the caption, “Congratulations on becoming a dad♥.” She also revealed the full name of her boyfriend, referred to as Mr. A, and uploaded additional intimate photos with him.

Initially, comments were filled with warm wishes, with fans asking, “Are you becoming a mom?”, “Congratulations!”, and “Did you get married?” However, as the posts gained traction across online communities, speculations arose that things were not as joyful as they seemed.

Netizens pointed out several red flags: the public disclosure of A’s full name, the visibility of a Seoul National University hoodie in the photos, and the excessive amount of skinship portrayed. Rumors began circulating suggesting that A might have gone missing after learning of Seo’s pregnancy.

The controversy deepened when an individual claiming to be a friend of A posted on a forum that A’s father, a high-ranking executive at a major corporation, opposed the relationship due to Seo’s past drug-related issues, even allegedly urging her to terminate the pregnancy.

Seo further fueled online discussion by editing her original post to include A’s birth year and academic standing at Seoul National University, stating, “He’s not 20 years old. He entered SNU in 2020 and was born in 1997. Thank you for your congratulations.”

Adding to the mystery, the Instagram account Seo had tagged has since been deleted, prompting further speculation. Comments questioning the nature of A’s disappearance, Seo’s motive for outing his identity, and the legitimacy of the pregnancy are flooding her account. Seo has not responded to any of these inquiries.

Seo Min-jae’s past controversy makes this case even more complex. In 2022, she publicly accused her then-partner, Nam Tae-hyun, formerly of K-pop group Winner, of using methamphetamine. The shocking confession, made via Instagram, led to both being indicted by the police in 2023. National forensic testing confirmed drug use for Seo, and Nam received a positive result as well. Seo was eventually sentenced to 10 months in prison with a two-year probation period.

She also alleged that Nam threatened her with revenge porn, leading to a heated legal and public dispute at the time.

Now, with her personal life once again in the spotlight, Seo Min-jae’s latest announcement has ignited more distress than delight among fans and followers.
