NCT WISH Dominates Global K-pop Charts with ‘poppop’ and Announces First Photo Exhibition

NCT WISH celebrates charttopping success of poppop and launches first photo exhibition

The latest K-pop powerhouse NCT WISH, under SM Entertainment, is making serious waves across global music charts with their second mini-album, ‘poppop’.

The album’s title track ‘poppop’ reached No.1 on China’s largest streaming platform QQ Music’s K-pop Weekly Chart for the second consecutive week (April 17–23), solidifying their explosive popularity overseas.

Proving their international appeal, NCT WISH made headlines on April 14, the day of their album release, when over 500,000 comments flooded a fan chat event hosted on QQ Music — the highest participation ever by a K-pop artist on the platform.

In parallel with their chart success, NCT WISH is launching their first-ever photo exhibition titled ‘NCT WISH THE 1ST PHOTO EXHIBITION [ONE SUMMER WISH]’ from May 15 to June 1, held in Seoul’s Yongsan district. The exhibition will then make its way to Tokyo, Japan.

The exhibition, themed around “NCT WISH’s Summer Break,” portrays the six members enjoying a relaxing countryside retreat, capturing refreshing and candid moments that promise visitors an immersive nostalgic experience of summer with NCT WISH.

Coinciding with the exhibition, their first official photobook, titled ‘ONE SUMMER WISH’, will be available for purchase at the venue starting May 15, and pre-orders will begin online from May 23. Fans can stay updated through official NCT WISH community channels and social media handles.

Comprising six tracks including the title song, ‘poppop’, the second mini-album has marked several milestones post-debut — becoming a million-seller, topping Korea’s weekly album charts, clinching three music show wins, and ranking No.1 on major streaming charts such as Korea’s Apple Music Top 100 and Japan’s AWA Real-time Rising Chart.
