HYBE’s Next-Gen Boy Group Aoen to Debut with ‘The Blue Sun’ on June 11
HYBE’s long-anticipated new boy group, Aoen, is set to make their official debut on June 11 with their debut single ‘The Blue Sun’. The label announced the launch on April 30, igniting buzz across K-pop fandoms worldwide.
Aoen, composed of seven members—Yuuzu, Luka, Gaku, Haku, Sota, Kyosuke, and Leo—emerged from the high-stakes audition survival show ‘応援-HIGH ~夢のスタートライン~’, where trainees raced through a competitive journey likened to a marathon of life. Each member brings unique charisma and talents, making Aoen a group to watch.
Yuuzu, the eldest and visual center of the group, takes on the role of leader, supported by the passionate and driven Luka as sub-leader. Gaku adds cheerful energy and quick wit, Haku radiates presence with ballet-trained poise, and Sota mesmerizes with his mysterious aura. Kyosuke embodies the complete package with vocals, dance, and visuals, while Leo captivates stages with his bright high notes and expressive performances.
The debut single ‘The Blue Sun’ not only marks Aoen’s initiation into the music scene but also encapsulates their identity. Representing the most intensely burning flame color—blue—the name ‘aoen’ symbolizes passion, energy, and a desire to uplift listeners like the radiant energy of the sun.
Building up to their debut, Aoen rolled out a detailed promotion schedule on their official SNS. Visual content including concept photos (May 1 & 5) and concept videos (May 13–14) will be followed by the release of ‘FINISH LINE Last Race, New Start’ on May 16, the signal song of their audition program. Additional teasers, including tracklist, audio spoilers, and a trailer video, will drop throughout May, concluding with a pre-release of the ‘The Blue Sun’ music video on June 2.
