Love, Letting Go, and New Beginnings: The Emotional Climax in ‘The Divorce Insurance’

Emotional climax as Lee Dong wook and Lee Joo bin confirm feelings with kiss in The Divorce Insurance

The emotional stakes rose to new levels in the latest episode of tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama The Divorce Insurance, starring Lee Dong-wook and Lee Joo-bin. Episode 10, which aired on the 29th, took the main characters into deeper emotional waters fueled by romantic revelations and personal growth.

No Ki-jun (Lee Dong-wook) and Kang Han-deul (Lee Joo-bin) finally embraced the complexities of their evolving relationship with a tender kiss that escalated fan anticipation to a fever pitch. Their romantic turning point not only reflected deepening affection but also symbolized a new phase in what the show dubs a ‘4-way relationship’ dynamic.

Meanwhile, Jeon Na-rae (played by Lee Da-hee), once a staunch believer in diversified investments both in finance and life, decided to go all in for An Jeon-man (played by Lee Kwang-soo), who stood by her during her most challenging moments. Her shift from cautious strategy to emotional investment marks one of the most profound character arcs in the series.

On another front, Kim Seon-man (Bae Yoo-ram) and Han Yeoreum (Jung Ga-hee) began preparing for a graceful separation. Their differing outlooks on marriage and divorce continued to challenge the TF Team, who took it upon themselves to support the couple through a marriage counseling process.

While Kim Seon-man questioned the point of such efforts when separation seemed inevitable, No Ki-jun emphasized the need to part ways well, saying, “It’s to break up properly.” The couple reminisced over happier days and chose to attend the clinic in hopes of understanding one another better.

Despite their best intentions, the couple found themselves struggling with misaligned emotions. Han Yeoreum became visibly upset while Kim Seon-man reflected on whether he’d done enough. No Ki-jun’s answer, inspired by his final conversation with his late sister, reminded viewers that even the effort to end things respectfully has meaning.

The episode reached a heartfelt climax as Kim Seon-man and Han Yeoreum vowed to give their final decision their all. No Ki-jun’s philosophy—to separate for oneself, not for others—also resonated with Kang Han-deul, who courageously announced her divorce in a family gathering, even confronting her ex-husband with one last symbolic gesture: throwing a bidet screw.

Free at last, Kang Han-deul reconnected with No Ki-jun, and the two shared a quiet, meaningful moment. When asked if there was anything more he wanted, No Ki-jun sweetly replied, “This is good. This is enough.” Their kiss sealed not only the episode

’s romantic highpoint but also a shift into a more profound emotional partnership.

The episode also teased a bright future for An Jeon-man and Jeon Na-rae. Just before the official launch of ‘The Divorce Insurance,’ An Jeon-man invited Jeon Na-rae to join forces again. His touching words about accepting her vulnerabilities moved her deeply. With Jeon Na-rae’s return to the team, a new chapter begins—both professionally and personally.

“I thought the golden rule of investing was diversification,” Jeon Na-rae mused, “but now I want to invest everything in An Jeon-man.” With romance blooming and emotional truths unfolding, The Divorce Insurance promises even more compelling drama every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM KST, only on tvN.
