BTS’s Jung Kook Breaks Spotify Records with ‘Seven’ and ‘GOLDEN’
BTS (Bangtan Boys) member Jung Kook continues to solidify his legacy as a global music powerhouse by setting new milestones on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.
According to Spotify’s latest Weekly Top Songs Global chart, covering the period of April 18 to 24, Jung Kook’s debut solo single ‘Seven’, released in July 2023, has maintained its chart position for an impressive 93 consecutive weeks. The track ranked 81st on this week’s chart, becoming the longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist in Spotify history.
Jung Kook’s influence doesn’t stop with singles — his first solo album ‘GOLDEN’, released in November 2023, has now spent a total of 77 weeks on the Weekly Top Albums Global chart, ranking 59th for the same week. This achievement also marks the longest span on this chart for any album by an Asian solo act.
In addition, Jung Kook made his 100th consecutive appearance on the Weekly Top Artists Global chart, ranking 180th, a remarkable feat considering that he is currently serving in the South Korean military.
These accomplishments affirm Jung Kook’s continued popularity and powerful global reach — both as a solo artist and as a member of BTS. His sustained chart presence is a testament to his artistry and the unwavering support from fans worldwide.
