Lee Jun-young Captivates in Harper’s Bazaar with Raw Youth and Netflix Stardom

Actor Lee Junyoung discusses his Netflix roles and Harper's Bazaar photoshoot

Korean actor Lee Jun-young has once again caught the attention of fans around the world with his captivating charm and versatile acting. In a new feature with Harper’s Bazaar, released on the 29th, Lee Jun-young presents the essence of youth’s turmoil and growth — full of raw emotion, personal vulnerability, and dynamic transformation.

Sporting casual styling with the ease of a professional model, Lee displays a compelling free-spirit through natural poses and charismatic presence. The photoshoot instantly created buzz among global fans, further solidifying his international appeal.

During the interview, Lee discussed his role in the Netflix series ‘폭싹 속았수다’, which achieved Top 10 rankings in 39 countries. Portraying the sincere and devoted boyfriend Young-bum opposite IU‘s character, Lee brought emotional depth to his performance. When humorously asked, “Why did you do that?” Lee laughed, catching the meaning right away and quipped, “Right? Why didn’t I serve sungnyung? People keep asking me that recently—it frustrates me too.”

He mentioned, “My mother already watched the series 4 to 5 times. She cries every time. We’ve never had such deep family conversations over my work before, but I think the show’s theme of generational connection and family love made it possible.”

Lee Jun-young also shared his experience with the newly released Netflix sequel Weak Hero Class 2, where he plays the bold and complex character Geum Seong-je. “The director (Han Jun-hee) told me, ‘This is basically you, Jun-young.’ That made me join. Geum Seong-je shares a lot of qualities with me—the romantic idealist part,” Lee revealed.

Fans can find the full editorial and interview in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

In addition to his Netflix roles, Lee Jun-young is starring as lead character Do Hyeon-jeong in KBS2’s upcoming romantic comedy series Pump Up The Healthy Love, premiering May 30. With a diverse portfolio including heartfelt dramas and powerful youth action roles, Lee’s evolution continues to impress audiences across platforms.
