TWICE Members Bring K-Pop Magic to Netflix Animated Film
Netflix has officially announced that TWICE’s Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung will perform an original song for its upcoming global animation K-Pop Demon Hunters, set to premiere across 190 countries on June 20.
K-Pop Demon Hunters follows world-famous K-pop idols who secretly lead double lives as demon hunters off-stage, protecting their fans while juggling their superstar status. The film is a high-octane hybrid of action, musical elements, and vibrant animation.
The project is produced by Sony Pictures Animation, known for global hits like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. It is co-directed by Korean-American director Maggie Kang and Wish Dragon’s Chris Appelhans.
Director Maggie Kang expressed her excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung. Their participation brings authenticity to the portrayal of a real-life K-Pop group and enhances the cultural depth of the film.”
