BTS’s Jin Surprises Fans at Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres’ Finale in Korea

On November 25, BTS’s Jin captured the world’s attention by making a surprise appearance at Coldplay’s concert at Goyang Stadium, marking the finale of their ‘Music of the Spheres’ World Tour in Korea.

Dressed in a denim jacket and jeans, Jin, often dubbed ‘Worldwide Handsome,’ approached Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin while holding a placard. Martin embraced Jin affectionately, greeting him with, “My brother.”

Jin then mesmerized the audience by performing his solo hit “The Astronaut” alongside Chris Martin who accompanied him with acoustic guitar. The two artists co-wrote and composed the heartfelt single, which Jin had dedicated to fans before beginning his military service in 2022.

The energy peaked when Jin returned wearing a security uniform and an alien mask before dramatically revealing himself to deafening cheers. He and Martin danced joyfully before launching into the collaborative track “My Universe.” Jin’s sweet yet strong vocals harmonized perfectly with Martin, enchanting the entire stadium.

In a touching moment reminiscent of their previous interactions, Martin expressed his affection by hugging and even lifting Jin off the ground. Martin has previously credited Jin’s suggestion for inspiring the collaboration between BTS and Coldplay on “My Universe.” Jin also notably received Martin’s beloved guitar during BTS’s visit to New York.

Jin’s admiration for Coldplay goes back years, and their bond has only grown stronger, highlighted by shared moments both onstage and off. Coldplay’s X (formerly Twitter) account even teased Jin’s appearance by posting a photo of ‘Wootteo’, a character Jin designed, ahead of the Seoul show.

After Jin’s first appearance on November 19, Coldplay posted a heartfelt message thanking Jin and Seoul, promising never to forget these incredible moments, solidified with a signature purple heart emoji.
