BLACKPINK’s Rosé Nominated for Two Awards at the 2025 American Music Awards
Rosé, a member of the global K-pop phenomenon BLACKPINK, has earned not just one, but two prestigious nominations at the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs), one of the ‘Big Three’ global music award shows. Her dual nods mark a significant milestone, making her the only K-pop artist this year to be recognized in two separate categories at the AMAs.
The nominations are driven by fan-engagement analytics such as global streaming numbers, album and single sales, radio play, and tour revenues—a reflection of Rosé’s wide-reaching influence beyond Korea.
Rosé has been nominated in the Collaboration of the Year category for her hit single APT., a groovy and emotionally rich duet with American pop icon Bruno Mars. The track has placed her in fierce competition with other high-profile collaborative tracks by Kendrick Lamar & SZA, Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars, and Post Malone & Taylor Swift.
The second nomination is for Favorite K-Pop Artist, where she stands beside fellow idols RM and Jimin from BTS, Stray Kids, and ATEEZ. Introduced in 2022, this category recognizes global fanbases that have made K-pop a dominant force in the international music scene.
The song APT., released in October last year, became a viral sensation with its addictive chorus and the unmistakable vocal chemistry between Rosé and Bruno Mars. It made a historic entry into the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, staying on the chart for a staggering 26 consecutive weeks. This achievement sets a new record for the longest-charting single by a female K-pop solo artist.
The celebration of music and fan culture continues when the 2025 American Music Awards takes place on November 26 in Las Vegas.
