Korean Mukbang Star Tzuyang Surprises Fans With Bold Smoky Makeup and Legal Battles
Known globally for her maximum-capacity mukbang videos, South Korean YouTube sensation Tzuyang is showing fans a whole new side of herself. On May 22, a surprising new video appeared on her secondary channel, showcasing not a feast, but a beauty transformation.
The video titled “I visited my parents’ house after doing a smoky makeup and raising my nose(?)—Mom’s reaction was…” featured Tzuyang trying out bold makeup as she strayed far from her typical food-focused content. Her dining table was filled with cosmetics instead of the usual mountain of food.
“I want to try different content besides eating,” she explained, revealing a heavily smoked-out makeup look complete with a nose pad known in Korea as ‘ko-ppong’—a silicone insert used to give the appearance of a higher nose bridge. With this daring look, she headed to visit her parents.
Their reaction? Pure astonishment. “Who is that? Why is she wearing makeup like this? Did she get surgery?” her mother exclaimed upon seeing her new face. Her father echoed the sentiment, visibly shocked. Tzuyang quickly removed the nose pad on camera, calming her parents by explaining, “It’s all just makeup.”
But Tzuyang’s transformation isn’t only physical. She’s also dealing with deeper issues off-screen. Last year, South Korean media personality Kim Sae-Ui mentioned Tzuyang’s past during a livestream, prompting the YouTuber to take legal action. She filed a lawsuit against Kim on charges of defamation, blackmail, and violations of South Korea’s anti-stalking law.
In earlier statements, Tzuyang admitted she had worked in an adult entertainment venue due to external pressure and abuse from a former boyfriend. Kim, however, denied her claims during broadcasts, fueling a wave of controversy and online debate.
From mukbang queen to beauty experimenter and now legal warrior, Tzuyang is no longer just a social media figure—she’s a bold example of public reinvention and personal resilience making headlines for more than just what’s on her plate.
