Stray Kids Nominated for Two Awards at the 2025 American Music Awards

K-pop sensation Stray Kids has secured nominations in two major categories at the upcoming 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs), further cementing their global influence and appeal. The South Korean boy band is nominated for Favorite K-Pop Artist and Favorite Soundtrack for their hit track Come Play, which was featured on the soundtrack of Netflix’s animated series Arcane Season 2.

This isn’t the group’s first brush with the prestigious AMAs. After becoming the second-ever K-pop group to perform at the awards last year, this year’s nominations solidify their continued rise as international performers. The AMAs, along with the Grammy Awards and Billboard Music Awards, is considered one of the United States’ top three music awards ceremonies.

Stray Kids’ accolades extend beyond the AMAs. They’ve clinched awards at various global ceremonies, including the MTV Video Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards. In March, they were honored with Music Video of the Year and included in the Best 3 Albums category at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Award. They also won K-Pop Album of the Year for the second consecutive year at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Their achievements on stage are just as impressive. Their massive world tour, Stray Kids World Tour, has taken stadiums by storm across the globe. Their first Latin American tour included eight sold-out stadium shows in Santiago, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Lima, and Mexico City, drawing an astounding 400,000 fans.

With another leg of the tour kicking off in May at Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa and culminating in Rome on July 30, the band is expected to perform for over 2.2 million people, poised to set a new record for the highest attendance in a single K-pop world tour.

From dominating music award stages to selling out stadiums worldwide, Stray Kids are not just a K-pop act — they’re a global cultural force to be reckoned with.
