Park Jihoon Reveals His Military Dreams and School Memories on Netflix’s ‘Try Try’
Park Jihoon, the singer-turned-actor best known for his role in the Netflix series ‘Weak Hero Class 2’, recently got candid about his childhood dreams and personal quirks on the latest episode of Netflix’s variety show ‘Try Try’. The episode, which aired on May 23, featured Park alongside fellow actor Yoo Soo-bin and veteran fighter Choo Sung-hoon (Yoshihiro Akiyama).
The trio visited a shooting range for the episode’s activity. There, Park Jihoon revealed, “I’ve always wanted to join the Marine Corps Special Recon unit. Since I was young, I’ve been a military enthusiast and collect gas guns.” He added that his video game of choice is always shooter-based, showcasing his long-standing passion for military themes.
Yoo Soo-bin, who previously served in the military as a mortar calculation specialist, jokingly responded, “Once you’ve served, you won’t even want to look at a gun again,” drawing laughter from the team. Choo Sung-hoon lightheartedly added, “It’s like wanting to get married when you’re young. But once you do, it’s not what you imagined.” His honesty left both Park and Yoo flustered, cracking up everyone on set.
Park Jihoon also reflected on his school years, sharing that he began his trainee life early and missed out on typical experiences like talent shows. “I always wanted to perform at a school retreat,” he recalled. To relive the moment, he delivered a spontaneous popping dance performance, impressing with his polished moves.
Not stopping there, Park even taught his signature pose — “Save it in my heart” — setting off a comedic attempt from Choo Sung-hoon, who mimicked the pose with playful charm, flooding the set with laughter.
Netflix’s ‘Try Try’ is a quirky talk and experience-based reality series, where Choo Sung-hoon dives deep into guests’ personalities by immersing himself in their worlds. New episodes premiere every Wednesday at 5 PM KST.
