Lim Yoon-a, the beloved K-pop star turned acclaimed actress, has once again proven her heartfelt appreciation for her colleagues on the set of the upcoming tvN drama ‘Tyrant’s Chef’.

According to reports from the production team, Yoon-a personally purchased high-end massage devices—worth approximately $23,000 (KRW 30 million)—and gifted them to every staff member working on the drama. Her gesture was accompanied by a handwritten letter to each recipient, further amplifying the sincerity and gratitude behind the gifts.

In the letter, she wrote, “I prepared this hoping it would help relieve some of your fatigue and give you strength to push through until the end. Let’s stay healthy and keep going strong. Yoon-a is cheering for you.” Notably, she signed the letter with both her own name and her character name, Yeon Ji-young, showcasing her deep commitment and affection for the project.

This isn’t the first time Lim Yoon-a has shown such thoughtfulness. She has a track record of spreading warmth on set, having gifted staff during her work on JTBC’s ‘Hush’, ‘King the Land’, and the film ‘The Devil Is Coming’.

Set to premiere later this year, ‘Tyrant’s Chef’ is a fantasy survival romance based on a popular web novel. It tells the story of a celebrated French chef who time-slips into the Joseon Dynasty, finding herself entangled with a tyrant king through an unexpected mix of fusion royal cuisine and historical palace intrigue.

Yoon-a plays the lead role as Yeon Ji-young, a talented chef who after winning a prestigious French culinary competition, is thrown into a world 500 years in the past. Her character must navigate a delicate blend of survival, heart, and history in a strange but fascinating era. The show is directed by renowned filmmaker Jang Tae-yu, known for hits like ‘My Love from the Star’, ‘Hong Cheon-gi’, and ‘Hyena’.
