MBLAQ’s Lee Joon Makes Musical Debut in Heartfelt Teen Romance ‘Even If You Leave, Love Will Remain Tonight’

Former MBLAQ member and multi-talented star Lee Joon is taking his first steps into the world of musical theater with the global premiere of Even If You Leave, Love Will Remain Tonight. The musical, co-produced by Library Company and Universal Live, is adapted from the popular Japanese novel by Misa Kitsune.

The story explores the bittersweet essence of young love, memory, and selfless devotion. It follows the romance between Kamiyama Toru, a warm-hearted boy determined to create joyful memories for his girlfriend Hino Maori, who suffers from anterograde amnesia due to an accident. Each day, she forgets the events of the previous day—but Toru’s love grounds her in the fleeting present.

Lee Joon takes center stage alongside musical actors Yoon So-ho and Kim In-sung in the role of Kamiyama Toru. This casting signals Lee Joon’s commitment to challenging himself artistically, continuing his impressive trajectory from K-Pop idol to serious actor.

Playing Hino Maori will be Jang Min-je and former LABOUM member Solbin. Their portrayal promises to bring depth and vulnerability to the emotional narrative. Joining the cast as Hino’s loyal friend Izumi Wataya are Oh Yu-min and Na Hyeon-young, the latter making her musical debut after gaining fame on KBS’s ‘Gag Concert’.

Additional notable cast members include Jeong Ji-woo as Saegusa Kento, an original character written exclusively for the musical, and Im Gi-hong along with Kim Tae-han as Kamiyama’s father, Yuki Hiko.

The production runs from June 13 to August 24 at the Shinhan Card Artium located in COEX, Seoul. With its emotionally stirring plot, memorable performances, and star-studded cast, the musical aims to resonate with fans of drama and love stories worldwide.
