BABYMONSTER Wraps Japan Tour with Record-Breaking Success Ahead of North America Expansion
K-pop’s powerhouse rookie group BABYMONSTER just wrapped up their highly anticipated 2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR <HELLO MONSTERS> in Japan with a spectacular finale at the Fukuoka International Center on June 19–20. Packed with back-to-back hits and passionate fans, the tour’s closing shows were as celebratory as they were monumental.
From the moment the lights dimmed, arena-wide roars and fan chants set the tone for a night to remember. BABYMONSTER performed crowd favorites like “DRIP” and the fiery unreleased track “SHEESH,” alongside solo performances and a striking cover of 2NE1—paying homage to their YG Entertainment seniors.
With heartfelt words, the group expressed their appreciation to their fanbase known as Montis. “Thanks to Montis, we enjoyed a time that felt like a gift. We promise to work even harder to become proud artists,” they shared to thunderous applause.
The Japanese leg of the tour was originally planned for 100,000 attendees, but soaring demand led organizers to expand venue capacities continuously. From selling additional standing-room tickets to opening restricted-view seats, BABYMONSTER’s incredible draw even resulted in an extra show being hastily added at Kanagawa’s K Arena Yokohama—along with the tour’s first-ever live-streamed concert.
Industry insiders praised the tour, calling it rare for a group without an official Japanese debut to fill arena-scale venues. The numbers back it up: BABYMONSTER attracted over 150,000 fans across Japan, a threefold increase compared to last year’s fan meeting tour—setting a new record for fastest-growing K-pop girl group in audience volume.
Confirming their rising star status, the group also launched a series of pop-up stores across the country, sustaining high local interest. Combined with high album sales, long-standing dominance on streaming charts, repeat comebacks on national music shows, a Google Pixel collaboration, and participation in the Sony Park Exhibition 2025, BABYMONSTER has cemented its presence in Japan’s pop culture landscape.
The Japanese press has taken note. From morning talk shows to national outlets, coverage of BABYMONSTER’s sold-out tour and growing influence has been non-stop, showcasing the group’s undeniable impact on the local music scene.
Following Japan, BABYMONSTER is now set to continue their world tour across Asia with stops in cities like Singapore, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei. In August, they will jump across the Pacific to begin their North American leg, launching in Toronto and followed by shows in Rosemont, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Oakland, and Seattle.
