Rising Star Hong Hwa-yeon Joins Culinary Romance ‘Your Taste’ After Acclaimed Performance in ‘Buried Hearts’

Set to premiere at 10 PM KST, the series showcases her transformative range as a formidable rising talent in Korean drama.

Your Taste follows Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul), a conglomerate heir known as a ‘recipe hunter’ who seeks to take over a small, anonymous one-table restaurant in Jeonju operated by the headstrong chef Mo Yeon-joo (Go Min-si). The drama blends themes of growth, food, and romance in a compelling cross-cultural narrative.

Playing a chef resonated personally, especially after enjoying numerous cooking survival shows.”

Notably, Your Taste has been officially invited to the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival, making it the first TV drama to hold a special screening of its first two episodes during the event. Hong will be attending the festival alongside her fellow cast members Kang Ha-neul, Go Min-si, Kim Shin-rok, and Yoo Soo-bin for audience Q&A sessions and an outdoor stage greeting.

“It’s been a meaningful journey,” Hong said. “Filming in Jeonju and now premiering at the Jeonju International Film Festival brings it all full circle. The warmth, respect, and vibrant energy on set truly mirror the heart of the series.”

As Your Taste prepares to debut, it not only elevates the genre of food-romance Korean dramas but also reinforces Hong Hwa-yeon’s growing status as a multifaceted actress to watch.
