Stray Kids Wrap Up North American Stadium Tour with Grand Finale in Toronto
A Milestone for K-Pop:
The globally celebrated K-pop group Stray Kids concluded their North American stadium tour with an awe-inspiring performance at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium on June 29. The event marked a historic moment as it was the first ever concert held at the newly inaugurated stadium, which has a capacity of 50,000 seats.
Making History:
This performance in Toronto stands as the largest K-pop concert in Canadian history, solidifying Stray Kids’ status as a global stadium artist. The stadium, also set to host major bands like Coldplay and Oasis, was filled to the brim with enthusiastic fans.
The Setlist:
Stray Kids opened their concert with the powerful track ‘MOUNTAINS’, and went on to perform a variety of hits including their Billboard 200 chart-topping album title track, iconic group songs, and singles like ‘Mixtape : dominATE’.
Words of Gratitude:
The members shared, “We are genuinely thrilled to complete our North American tour here in Toronto. Seeing the arena filled with STAY (the fandom) has been incredibly touching. Thank you for lighting up Toronto tonight!”
A Record-Breaking Tour:
The tour, which started in Seattle on May 24, 2023, has seen Stray Kids conquer new territories across America, achieving ‘firsts’ for a K-pop group at venues such as T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Camping World Stadium in Orlando, and the Nationals Park in Washington D.C. They have also been the first to headline a show twice at Arlington’s Globe Life Field.
Beyond the Music:
Their significant achievements and sold-out shows led to them being featured on ABC and CBS’s western news segments and highlighted in leading Californian dailies. Additionally, iconic landmarks like the Empire State Building in NYC and Chicago’s Willis Tower were lit in Stray Kids’ symbolic red to commemorate their success.
Future Prospects:
After massively successful North American tour, Stray Kids are set to embark on their first European tour, starting in the Johan Cruijff Arena, Amsterdam, in July. Covering six regions with eight concert dates, they continue to captivate audiences worldwide with their ever-growing allure.
