Discover the ‘Asian Hawaii’: Okinawa

This week, the beloved cast members of Channel S’ ‘Dokuster’s Real Trip 4’ venture to the tropical paradise of Okinawa, often dubbed the ‘Hawaii of Asia’. Hosted by the charismatic team of Kim Dae-hee, Kim Jun-ho, Jang Dong-min, Yoo Se-yoon, and Hong In-kyu, the episode airs on October 21st at 9 PM.

The Journey Begins

As the team arrives at Okinawa’s iconic ‘American Village’, they are greeted by stunning palm trees and crystal-clear waters. Enthralled by the scenic beauty, Kim Jun-ho playfully suggests, “Our previous trip to Taiwan was all about me. How about dedicating this Hawaii-themed journey to Se-yoon this time?”

Unveiling the Bond

The camaraderie among the members shines as Hong In-kyu echoes sentiment, saying, “We came here for Se-yoon, so whatever he enjoys, we shall do,” followed by, “Let’s exercise, swim, and speak only in English! I’m curious why you always laugh while speaking alone in English.”

Feelings of playful rivalry surface as they enter ‘American Village’. To add a touch of fun, Kim Jun-ho proposes an English-only game: “Let’s make it more interesting by putting a price on it. Whoever slips and speaks Korean will pay for all the shopping here.”

The Allure of Okinawa

Agreeing to the challenge, the team heads to a local eatery known for the delicious ‘Musubi’, a Hawaiian rice ball. While waiting for their order, Yoo Se-yoon remarks in English, “Nowadays, you can scan the QR code on a paper receipt with your smartphone camera, and it sends you a ‘waiting alert’.”

Kim Dae-hee, fascinated by this modern feature, draws laughter from his teammates. “You are like a grandfather! Very, very old!” jokes Kim Jun-ho, playfully teasing his senior.

The Unexpected Turns

The banter intensifies when Kim Dae-hee, with a humorous ‘Konglish’ accent, responds, “You and me, gap, 18 months!” highlighting their narrow age difference.

Kim Jun-ho hilariously interrupts with an “Angry!” exclamation. Amidst the laughter, Hong In-kyu notices Kim Jun-ho subtly slipping back into Korean. “You’re deceiving us like a voice phish!” he exclaims with a chuckle, pointing out the faux pas.

Who will endure and conquer the English-only challenge, and which team member will face the consequences of slipping up? Find all this out on Channel S ‘Dokuster’s Real Trip 4’, premiering on October 21st at 9 PM.
