IVE’s Stellar Appearance on ‘Venue 101’
On April 14th, IVE (An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) made a glittering appearance on Japan’s popular music program ‘Venue 101’. The group charmed audiences with their refreshing wit and the much-anticipated performance of their new song ‘DARE ME’.
A Captivating Performance
Entering the stage in delightful red-themed outfits, IVE lit up the scene with their colorful presence. Their engaging conversation with the MCs involved sharing nostalgic songs from a decade ago and discussing favorite foods, revealing a natural flair for variety shows. The group participated in humorous games, including the ‘Apartment Game’, providing a lively talk show experience complete with playful penalties.
Unveiling ‘DARE ME’
IVE’s performance of their Japanese original single ‘DARE ME’, released on April 21st, created a stir among fans and viewers. The song, which serves as the opening theme for the Japanese drama ‘Damemane: Unwelcome Talent, Let’s Manage!’, quickly climbed the Billboard Japan ‘Hot Shot Songs’ and ‘Download Songs’ charts, demonstrating IVE’s burgeoning popularity in Japan.
The performance showcased IVE’s robust, ethereal vocals and their signature refreshing choreography, including a bench dance that left a lasting impression. Members Gaeul and Rei, as well as An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung, displayed warm pair choreography, amplifying the song’s heartfelt mood.
Continued Global Success
IVE has solidified their presence in Japan through consistent activities. Last year, the group graced Japan’s largest music festival ‘Summer Sonic 2024’ and the biggest fashion event, ‘Tokyo Girls Collection’. Their first world tour ‘Show What I Have’ introduced them to the acclaimed K-Arena Yokohama in Japan, and IVE achieved a milestone by performing at the iconic Tokyo Dome.
In a series of fancon tours titled ‘IVE SCOUT IN JAPAN’, held across four Japanese cities, the group gathered 100,000 attendees, underscoring their immense influence. Recently, IVE appeared on Japan’s popular music YouTube channel ‘THE FIRST TAKE’, delivering a flawless ‘After LIKE’ live performance, once again proving their solid skills and trending appeal.
