The New Drama: ONE: High School Heroes
‘ONE: High School Heroes’ presents a dynamic high school action narrative, detailing the journey of class topper Uigyeom, played by Lee Jeongha, and Yoonki, portrayed by Kim Dowan. They form the masked team ‘High School Heroes’ to unleash pent-up rage and overturn the school’s bullying hierarchy.
Kim’s First Foray into Action Acting
For Kim Dowan, ‘ONE: High School Heroes’ is both a milestone and an introduction into the genre of action acting. Reflecting on his experience, Kim noted, “I discovered a new interest in action while training at the action school and even took up boxing for a year following the shoots.”
Kim attributes the seamless filming process to the guidance and support of the director and fellow actors. He expressed his gratitude, stating, “Thanks to them, I was able to film without any major incidents. I found this first action challenge extremely appealing, and I aim to showcase even better action scenes in my future projects.”
A Thought-Provoking Narrative
Reflecting on the themes of the drama, Kim commented, “I don’t believe violence can ever be justified. However, through this project, we wanted to address the various forms of violence prevalent in society. We focused significantly on the characters’ outbursts stemming from oppression, highlighting themes of growth, conflict, and introspection rather than mere violence.”
The final episode of ‘ONE: High School Heroes’ will be available on October 13 at 11 am.
