Heize expresses disappointment over the cancelled My K FESTA event in Gyeongju.
Heize’s Heartfelt Message to Fans
In the early hours of October 8th, renowned K-pop artist Heize took to her personal social media to express her deep regret and disappointment over the cancellation of the much-anticipated My K FESTA in Gyeongju. She wrote, “Words cannot express how sad and frustrated I am that today’s performance has been canceled.”
The Anticipation and the Letdown
Preparations for the event were set in motion as Heize arrived in Gyeongju the day before, eagerly preparing to meet her fans. “I was thrilled to meet you all, prepared and ready, only to find out that due to unforeseen sound system issues, both the performance and even rehearsals were impossible,” she lamented.
A Sincere Apology to Fans
Apologizing sincerely to her dedicated fans, Heize continued, “To those of you who, like me, looked forward to today, I am deeply sorry to send you home unfulfilled. I hope we can meet again soon, and extend my greetings this way for now.”
A Cancelled Celebration of Hallyu Culture
The event ‘2025 My K FESTA in Gyeongju’ was part of a large-scale Hallyu cultural festival chosen through a local government collaboration project, scheduled over two days from October 7th to 8th. The highlight, the K-Gyeongju Music Festa (K-GMF), was meant to feature eight mini-concerts by leading K-pop artists, including Even, Choi Ye-Na, ONEUS, Lee Mu-Jin, FT ISLAND, Car, The Garden, and Roy-Kim.
Recent Achievements
Heize has been significantly contributing to the Korean music scene, with her most recent release in November last year being her ninth mini-album ‘FALLIN”.
