From Goryeo-Khitan War to Good Partner

Ji Seung-hyun shared an intriguing story. During the filming of KBS2 drama ‘Goryeo-Khitan War,’ he was offered a role in the SBS drama ‘Good Partner‘. “I was hesitant at first,” he admitted, “but I wanted to show a variety of my acting skills, so I accepted the role.”

His portrayal of an adulterer in Good Partner, which wrapped up in September last year, certainly captured public attention. “A petrol station lady even slapped my back,” Ji recalled, laughing. “Once, at a ‘Goryeo-Khitan War’ staff’s wedding, people recognized me as the ‘bad guy’.”

Battling Negative Reactions

With bold dialogues that included confrontational scenes such as asking an affair partner about pregnancy proof, Ji found himself in hot water. “Viewers were so immersed that I had to issue an apology video,” he confessed.

New Ventures in Dramatic Roles

Amidst laughs, Kim Gook-jin teased Ji about his new scheme. “Well,” Ji chuckled, “I’m in the Wavve original series ‘Danjwi’, premiering later this year.” Playing a psychotic character involved in social issues like voice phishing, Ji expressed excitement about the project, urging viewers to anticipate its release.
