Major Korean Networks Delay Regular Programming for Election Night

On March 3rd, major Korean broadcasters, including KBS, MBC, SBS, JTBC, Channel A, TV Chosun, and MBN, announced their schedules for airing special election programs, specifically focusing on the Broadcast of the 21st Presidential Election Ballot Counting. Due to these special broadcasts, several regular shows will take a break.

#### Impacted Programs

KBS 1TV: Programs such as ‘Animals Kingdom’, ‘My Hometown at 6’, ‘Charles the Neighbor’, and ‘Catch the Fortune’ will not air this week.

MBC: Shows like ‘Today N’, ‘Kind Seonju’, ‘100-Minute Debate’, and ‘PD Notebook’ will take a pause.

SBS: Viewers will not see programs such as ‘Every Chance You Get’, ‘Kim Won-Hee’s Wonderland’, and ‘Shoes Off, Single-Man Again’.

JTBC: Shows like ‘Han Moon-Cheol’s Black Box Review’, ‘Incident Captain’, and ‘Street Food Trader’ will be on hold.

Channel A: Programs including ‘Story More’ will not air this week.

TV Chosun: ‘Medical Documentary-The Fact’, ‘Healthy House 2’, and ‘Daddy and I’ will resume next week.

MBN: ‘Thumb King’, ‘Korea-Japan Top Ten Show’ will return the following week.

#### Voting Commences Nationwide

According to the National Election Commission, the official vote for electing the 21st President of South Korea began at 6 AM with 14,295 polling stations nationwide. Approximately 44.39 million eligible voters will participate, with over 15.42 million having already voted during the early voting period on February 29-30.

To participate in the official ballot, voters must cast their votes at polling stations designated by their registered addresses, presenting a valid ID such as a resident registration card, passport, driver’s license, youth ID, or any government-issued ID with a photo.
