ILLIT’s Wonhee Steps Up for First Pitch

On the 1st, according to Belief Lab, Wonhee, a member of the popular group ILLIT, is set to make her first-ever professional baseball first pitch appearance. She will be stepping onto the mound at the ‘Dream of Ground Series’, a home game for both the Lotte Giants and SSG Landers, held at Busan Sajik Baseball Stadium.

An Honor and a Tribute

Chosen as a special pitcher to bring luck to the Lotte Giants, Wonhee shared her feelings via her agency:

> “It’s an honor to throw the first pitch in Busan, my parents’ hometown. It’s even more special because my father is a fan of the Lotte Giants. I’m nervous, but I hope to share this unique experience with positive energy. Wishing all players a victory with no injuries.”

ILLIT’s Musical Comeback

This event aligns with ILLIT’s upcoming release on the 16th of their mini-album ‘bomb’. The title track, ‘빌려온 고양이 (Do the Dance)’, based on the French house genre, captures the excitement of a first date.

The group’s teaser snippet has already heightened fan anticipation with its catchy melody and concept.
